Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of hostfree.games. By creating an account or deploying a server you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

hostfree.games hosts game servers that run on credits. You buy or earn credits, and your servers consume them while they run. When a server runs out of credits it is suspended, and after a grace period it may be deleted along with its data.

Your account

• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Keep your login credentials and account key private. Do not share them.
• Give accurate account information and keep it current.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Credits and payments

• Credits are a virtual balance used to run servers. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
• Paid credit packs are processed by Stripe. Prices and any applicable tax are shown before you pay.
• Credit purchases are generally final. We honour refunds where the law requires them and may issue others at our discretion.
• Premium is a recurring subscription billed until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.

Acceptable use

These rules apply to every server, file, and action on your account. Breaking them can lead to suspension or removal of servers and accounts, and where needed, reports to the authorities. You may not use the service to:

• Break the law, or host content that is illegal where you or your users are.
• Attack others: no DDoS, port scanning, brute forcing, botnets, or command-and-control.
• Distribute malware, or host phishing, scams, or fraud.
• Share content you do not have the right to, or infringe copyrights or trademarks.
• Harass, threaten, or target people, or run hate-driven communities.
• Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.

We investigate reports and act on what we find, and may suspend a server to stop ongoing harm before contacting you. To report abuse of a server hosted with us, email [email protected] with the server address and what you observed.

Your content

You keep ownership of the worlds, files, and data you upload. You are responsible for that content and for having the right to use it. We may remove content or suspend a server to comply with the law or to stop harm to the service or others.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a server or account for breaking these terms, for non-payment (including a server draining its credits), or to protect the service. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your servers and their data.

Service provided as is

hostfree.games is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not responsible for data loss. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
